Our Team
Shashi Ray
Hope Ability Director
Shashi has passionately supported the NT disability and mental health community for over 15 years. Â His diverse professional background has led him to work across various regions of the Northern Territory, having fulfilled roles as Out-of-Home Care program supervisor with Territory Families and House Supervisor with the NT Health Forensic Disability Unit. Shashi has also served his community as a Local Area Coordinator and Senior Complex Support Need Planner under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Â In these roles, Shashi provided invaluable support to forensic participants by facilitating their transition from custodial settings and successful reintegration into their community.
Dinesh Chalise
Operations Officer
Dinesh is known for the dedication he provides to everyone he meets. With a Master's in Professional Accounting and a Diploma in Leadership and Management, Dinesh can be found across many areas of the Hope Ability team. In his role as Participant Service Officer, Dinesh maintains his passion for being on the ground and in touch with participants while also supporting the team to provide the high-quality supports participants have come to expect when engaging with Hope Ability. Over the past four years with Hope Ability, Dinesh has immersed himself in various roles within the organisation, developing his skills and experience. Dinesh is deeply committed to upholding participant choice and control, strongly believing in empowering individuals to live their lives to the fullest.
Ann Treesa Jose
Administration/Client Service Officer
Ann is a dedicated and compassionate professional who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as an Administration and Client Service Officer at Hope Ability. Ann is well-equipped to provide exceptional support and care to individuals with disabilities. With a master’s degree in social work from India and a Certificate III in Individual Support from Australia, Ann has extensive experience in psychosocial assessments, counselling, and medical social work.Her previous roles have seen her excel as a Social Worker, where she conducted thorough psychosocial assessments and facilitated effective communication among inmates and multidisciplinary teams. Ann has also provided counselling services, educating individuals on self-care practices and managing group activities to foster a supportive community environment. In her current position, Ann continues to demonstrate her commitment to fostering meaningful connections with participants while ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services. Her holistic approach to well-being and strong dedication to her clients make her an invaluable asset to the Hope Ability team. Ann's ability to navigate complex situations with empathy and professionalism ensures that Hope Ability maintains its standard of excellence in disability services.
Shraddha Baral
Clinical Manager
Shraddha is a Registered nurse with a significant background working within the various areas of health care, including Geriatric Care, Rehabilitation, Dementia Care, Medical- Surgical, and community nursing with NT GOV. As part of Australia's Covid 19 response Shraddha has provided key services such as testing and vaccination and provided clinical and safety requirements for QLD GOV. Shraddha specializes in primary health care nursing and has worked as an interpretative bridge between the acute sector and community services. She has worked with the community closely; she understands people and their chronic conditions and has helped them to simplify the health systems, referral pathways, and access to care. Shraddha is driven by the opportunity to influence people's lives positively, particularly for the most vulnerable people in our community. In Hope Ability, Shraddha manages and monitors all participants' disability related health support that align with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Quality and Safeguarding Framework, individual Participant NDIS goals, and outcomes. Shraddha advises and leads all clinical care case management processes with Service Managers and Staff. As an experienced Nurse, Shraddha assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates nursing care plan for participants according to their needs and facilitates participants to live more independently.
Prakash Bhandari
Participant Service Officer
Prakash’s experience as a lecturer and an accountant means he brings a diverse skill set and array of experience to his role. With a background in academia, he excels in conveying complex ideas in a clear and engaging manner, fostering an environment of learning and growth. Prakash’s proficiency in accounting provides him strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, ensuring precise attention to detail and accuracy in financial matters. He is passionate about making a positive impact and committed to leveraging the expertise to support individuals and organisations navigating the complexities of the NDIS landscape. He embraces adaptability, empathy, and a commitment to fostering inclusively and empowerment of all people living with disability.
Jonisha Dhakal
Registered Nurse
Jonisha is a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. With eight years of combined experience in nursing and the NDIS industry, Jonisha brings a unique blend of expertise to her role. Having spent four years working in various capacities within the NDIS sector, Jonisha possesses a deep understanding of disability support systems and the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities. Her background includes roles where she provided direct care and support, allowing her to develop a compassionate and person-centered approach to her work. In addition to her experience in the disability sector, Jonisha has also worked in the fast-paced environment of the emergency department at the Royal Darwin Hospital. This experience has honed her clinical skills and prepared her to handle complex medical situations with efficiency and professionalism. Jonisha is driven by her desire to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities. She finds fulfillment in directly impacting their lives and strives to create positive outcomes through her work. With a heart for service and a commitment to excellence, Jonisha is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she serves.
